Meal options were beautiful with quality meats in tagines and traditional salads. Service cannot be faulted. Entertainment- exceptional musicians and phenomenal dancers- is utterly amazing! A full nights immersion in Moroccan culture that is fabulous value for money. The whole location has so many beautiful additional rooms that have been locations of Alfred Hitchcock films in 1956.
We had a meal in this restaurant on our final night in Marrakech. We ate on the main floor rather than rooftop to escape the Moroccan heat. The dining area is a very attractive space, very authentic looking and in fact historic. The restaurant appeared in an Alfred Hitchcock film in the late 50s and still retains that historic charm. As a group of six, we had various dishes and no one was disappointed. I highly recommend that people consider this for one of their dinners. I’d like to highlight the “Moroccan Salad” which arrives as six separate vegetable dishes with bread, all delicious.
A great experience! There was a live show and the atmosphere was really fun. Starters were very delicious but the main course was quite average when it comes to taste. Highly recommended if you like to have a fancy evening with good food and nice atmosphere.
We had a wonderful experience at Dar Essalam for my birthday dinner. From the beautiful atmosphere and delicious food to the live music and traditional performances, everything was truly enjoyable and made the evening very special. The food was excellent, and the entertainment added a unique and memorable touch to the experience. What made the night even more special was the birthday surprise arranged by the restaurant staff together with my husband. A special thank you to Adeel for organizing everything so perfectly and for being incredibly polite, professional, and accommodating despite the restaurant being busy. We felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after throughout the evening. We highly recommend Dar Essalam to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in Marrakech.

From the moment you step inside, you’re immersed in a stunning traditional Moroccan setting, with beautiful décor, intricate details, and a warm, authentic atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was rich in flavor and perfectly prepared, showcasing the best of Moroccan cuisine. The tagines were delicious, the couscous was incredibly satisfying, and the pastilla was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistent throughout the meal. What makes this place even more special is the live entertainment. The traditional music and performances create a magical ambiance that enhances the entire experience and makes the evening truly memorable. The service was also excellent friendly, professional, and attentive without being overwhelming. The staff made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. If you’re visiting Marrakech and want a complete Moroccan dining experience with great food, culture, and atmosphere, Dar Essalam is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
