The food was decent and well prepared, but nothing particularly memorable or outstanding. The waiters were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal, which made the visit enjoyable. It’s a nice spot if you’re looking for traditional Moroccan food in a good atmosphere, even if the dishes themselves didn’t quite wow us.
A wonderful traditional Moroccan restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. I really enjoyed the experience : the tajine was amazing and full of flavor. Around 21:30, there was a small dancing show, which added a lovely touch to the evening. It wasn’t a professional performance, but it created a warm and charming atmosphere. One small recommendation: it would be better not to automatically add sugar to every tea. I expected the mint tea to be sweet, but later when I ordered verbena tea, it also came very sweet, which I personally didn’t enjoy.
Wonderful evening with my husband on Valentine's Day. We couldn't decide what to have so we chose the set meal for 2 people and it was amazing. The entrees and starters were served together and the table was full with small dishes. The entrees were 3 different type of pastry parcels (like spring rolls). There were 2 cheese, 2 chicken and 2 vegetable, one of each for us. The starters were a variety of Moroccan salads. There were 9 different dishes, including lentils, tomato with onions, carrots and cucumber, along with bread to mop up the beautiful sauces. The main course was 3 separate tagines, lamb, chicken and meatballs and a dish with couscous and vegetables. The dessert was pancakes with honey and almonds. It was all just so delicious, we loved it. The service was fantastic, the staff couldn't do enough for us. We were able to watch the sunset out of the window, so beautiful. If you're considering a meal at Le Tanjia, do it, you won't regret it. If we ever return to Marrakech we'll most definitely return for a meal at Le Tanjia.
A restaurant that was recommended to us. The atmosphere and decor were great, there was even some entertainment in the form of belly dancers. I found the food wasnt great as the only option without meat was a vegetarian tagine, which was a bit lackluster. I have had better morroccan vegetarian cuisine outside of Morocco than I did on this trip to Morocco. I am afraid, the desserts didnt 'wow' us either. The experience was further soured by the fact that the server made an error on the bill and even after we had left a generous tip he caught up with us as we were walking away in order to pay the difference from his error. The tip would have covered the error and then some, so it felt a little bad form.
Our best meal in Marrakech. Also have wine, cocktails and beer available. The Morroco salad had 8 dishes that wre all tasty. We had the beef tagine in Morocco spices which was lovely. Highly recommend.
