Nomad was an exquisite surprise on a hot day. We ordered food that was not traditionally Moroccan, but had an amazing Marrakech flair. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The seating area was amazing as they have different zones for different party sizes and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Very nice and good food. They said it was morrocan food which looked like it however it was the only restaurant that had it so i think it was not traditional. It is close to being a tourist trap but i would not count it as such as it was reasonable if you want to make sure you eat a safe food.
Based on recommendations from travel influencers, TV features, and our Airbnb host, we were excited to dine here and booked an 8:00 PM rooftop reservation hoping to catch the sunset. We were seated promptly, which we appreciated. Our table was along a row of two-tops and unfortunately on the opposite side of a wall that partially blocked the sunset view. While neither of these things significantly impacted our experience, they did make the rooftop setting feel a little less special than we had anticipated. The main disappointment was the food. Given the restaurant’s reputation, we expected a more memorable dining experience. We completely understand and respect that alcohol is not served, though we were surprised there wasn’t a dedicated mocktail menu. I ordered the apple green tea infusion, which tasted good enough but was quite mild and reminded me mostly of iced mint tea (for 400 MAD). The dishes we tried were nicely presented, but overall we found them lacking in flavor. Even the spiced Moroccan chicken was more subdued than expected. The bread, which is an additional charge, was served cold and seemed less fresh than we would have liked. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad, but it didn’t live up to the high expectations created by the many recommendations we received. For us, the restaurant felt somewhat overhyped compared with the quality of the food and drinks.
The food was delicious, the squid was cooked well, the beef was cooked perfectly, and the espresso over ice cream was delightful. It was exciting that they had iced mint tea, though it was a bit lacking in flavor. The rooftop seats were comfortable with a beautiful view. It was an easy walk to the restaurant and staff were kind and welcoming.
Nomad did not disappoint. The roof top offered a stunning view of the souks. The service is quick and attentive. The food is great for Asian palette. I really like the fried zucchini, calamari and baked eggplant dishes. The Morrocon spiced chicken on the other hand is just average.
