Instead, you’ll find a few standout places sprinkled around Gueliz and Hivernage serving up everything from sushi to spicy Thai curries.

One of my favorite spots is Moshi Moshi, just off Avenue Mohamed V. The sushi is fresh, not too fancy, and the vibe is chill. Plus, if you go later in the evening, sometimes you’ll catch live music. For something a bit different, Fu Fu Mi in Hivernage does solid Chinese and Japanese dishes , their dim sum is on point and totally worth trying even if you're not hungry for a full meal.

Pro tip? If you want really authentic flavors, head to the little noodle shops near the Medina’s new urban art spots. No flashy signs, often just a few tables, but the soups and rice dishes hit the spot on colder nights. And if you like spicy, ask for the chili oil,locals swear by it. Asian food isn’t the first thing people think of in Marrakech, but if you know where to look, it’s a treat.
