Grilled Meats & Lentils
Marrakech
Recenzje
Delicious food and friendly hosts. Super fair prices (40mad for lentil soup and meat)
Great little street food shop, only open for lunch and the afternoon (from 12pm - 4pm in January). There seem to be alot of local customers and no tourists (the speak a bit of english) I asked for lentils, meatballs (had to show them a picture, guess it was kefta) and bread, and then said yes to everything they asked Had to wait 5 minutes for them to make and grill the meatballs, but it was delicious, highly recommended. 30 dirhams which was much better and cheaper than the two briwates I had yesterday Edit: I went back on my return to Marrakesh for 2 sandwiches and learned they did takeaway, plus a small is €2 (20 dirhams) and a large 30 dirhams ( I got large of course)
A hidden spot for an affordable meal for budget-conscious travellers. Found this place with good reviews and thought to give it a try. Total meal of grilled meatball (kefta) and lentils is 40 MAD. From the outside, is looks like a place for locals than tourists. But they are very friendly and accommodating with tourist. Tucked at a corner in the medina, it can easily be missed. We had grilled meatballs, locally called Kefta, and lentils to go with the bread. The lentils are very tasty, salty with hint of spiciness. The kefta is well cooked and perfectly safe to eat, seasoned with pepper and salt. They have grilled chicken as well which I think is worth a try. The environment is small but not too hot. Though you have to deal with the fly eyeing for your food. So if you are fine with this, then I would recommend here for an easy and cheap meal.
