Description

Embark on a premium 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora with a scenic stopover in the Ouarzazate region. Explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, visit the Tamegroute Library, and take a camel trek to a private desert camp in Zagora. Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate / Ait Benhaddou Depart from Marrakech toward the Atlas Mountains, passing scenic landscapes, Berber villages, and winding roads. Stop at the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou for a guided visit of its historic mud-brick architecture, featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, the 'Gateway to the Sahara' and home to film studios. Depending on logistics and availability, overnight in Ait Ben Haddou village / Ouarzazate city in a handpicked traditional guesthouse or hotel, with a Moroccan dinner. Day 2: Ouarzazate / Ait Benhaddou – Draa Valley – Kasbah Amridil – Tamegroute – Zagora After breakfast, travel through the Draa Valley with palm groves, kasbahs, and villages. Stop in Tamegroute to visit the historic library with 16th-century manuscripts and explore traditional green pottery workshops. Continue to Zagora, the 'Gateway to the Sahara,' then enjoy a camel trek into the desert to reach your exclusive camp. Settle in and enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars. Day 3: Zagora – Marrakech Watch the desert sunrise, then have breakfast at the camp. Begin the return journey to Marrakech via the Draa Valley and Atlas Mountains. Arrival is expected in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of the premium 3-day desert adventure.

  • Tour starts 7:00 AM Day 1; ends ~6PM in Marrakech on Day 3 (round-trip loop). Pickup available from your Marrakech accommodation. For Medina riads, a nearby accessible meeting point (5–10 min walk) will be arranged. Check your voucher for full pickup details (after booking). Night 1 in Ouarzazate / Ait Ben Haddou hotel, private room & bathroom. Night 2 in Zagora desert camp, Standard tent (shared bathroom) or Luxury tent (private en-suite), based on your selected option. Camel trek ~45–60 min each way; long trousers recommended. Walking alongside the caravan is available as an alternative. Multiple stops for sightseeing, photos, rest & meals across Atlas Mountains, valleys, kasbahs & desert. Luggage travels with you; keep a small bag for the desert night. Lunch & drinks not included; bring cash (EUR/MAD), as cards may not be accepted at some points; lunch €10–€13/person. Weather: hot Jun–Aug, cold nights Nov–Feb; pack layers.
