Description

Itinerary for 5 Days 4 Nights from Marrakech Back To Marrakech Day 1: Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades valley Depart Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the pass of Tizi n’ Tichka to Ouarzazate. You will visit the exotic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. Relax and enjoy lunch at the Kasbah of Taourirt, a Glaoui Dynasty residence. You will continue to the Rose Valley and visit the amazing Kasbah of Amerhidil in Skoura. The Amerhidil River situates this Kasbah and is one of the largest in Morocco. You will spend the night in Dades Valley. Day 2: Dades Valley - Todgha Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga After breakfast, you depart for the Dadès Gorges via the valley and stop to enjoy the spectacular scenery where you can sip on mint tea also known as “Berber Whiskey”. You will continue to Tinghir via Boulman Dadès and visit this area, lush with beautiful palm trees. The journey continues to Todra Gorges where you will enjoy lunch. After lunch, you will continue to the small town of Rissani. (Note: Rissani’s local market activity takes place on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. We will visit the market on this day if it falls on one of those market days or day 4 if it falls on a market day). Travel to Merzouga, bordering the Erg Chebbi Desert, where you will prepare for your camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes. You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Moroccan dinner, and sleep in a traditional Nomad tent. Day 3: Merzouga Area and Camel Trek Erg Chebbi dunes, the largest in Morocco, bivouac trekkers will return by camel, and enjoy breakfast. Enjoy the panoramic scene of black volcanic rock on the plains, the bright blue sky, the green palm trees, white salt beds, mirages of water, and golden shifting dunes. Pass the lake in Merzouga to see the flamingos. Have lunch with our Berber family and friends. Your excursion will take you to the border of the Sahara Desert where you will stay the evening at a Kasbah alongside the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Agdez - Ouarzazate Witness the magical sunrise in Merzouga, climb high dunes, and return to the village by dromedaries. Drive towards Marrakech, passing through Rissani, Agdez, and reaching Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa. Stay overnight in a local hotel with dinner and breakfast. Day 5: Ouarzazate - Marrakech After Breakfast depart from Ouarzazate towards Marrakech, passing through the Tizi n Tichka pass, concluding your memorable Marrakech to Merzouga journey.
