Description
Leave Marrakech for a day in the Ourika Valley, where Atlas Mountain scenery, Berber villages and the waterfalls of Setti Fatma await. Travel with hotel pickup and return transport, and choose between a guided hike with or without riverside lunch.
Follow the changing scenery from the city towards the Atlas foothills. Enjoy views of terraced fields, mountain villages and the Ourika River, with opportunities for photos along the way. Visit a women-run argan oil cooperative to learn about traditional production and discover local Berber culture.
At Setti Fatma, join a local guide for the waterfall hike. The route involves climbing over rocky, uneven ground, so wear sturdy closed shoes with good grip. Enjoy the mountain scenery and photo opportunities along the way. This is an active hike, so consider your comfort with uneven trails when booking.
After exploring the valley, relax at a riverside restaurant before returning to Marrakech. Choose the option that suits you:
Guided hike — lunch excluded: includes pickup, return transport and the guided waterfall hike. Lunch is at your own expense.
Guided hike + riverside lunch: includes the same trip with a Moroccan lunch beside the river. Tell your guide about dietary requirements at the start of the tour.
For riads in pedestrian areas, pickup is from a nearby accessible meeting point. Check your pickup message and keep the phone number on your booking reachable on WhatsApp. Bring sun protection, a warm layer and cash for personal purchases.
