Description

Day 1: Departure from Marrakech at 7:30 am, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260m), the highest road in North Africa. Stop at Berber villages and valleys before visiting the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic fortified city from the 17th century featured in films like Gladiator. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” with a visit to Kasbah Taourirte. Then travel through the palm groves of Skoura and the Valley of Roses, arriving in Tinghir for dinner and overnight at a hotel or riad.

Day 2: After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, visit Todra Gorge, a canyon nearly 1,000 feet deep, popular with climbers and lined with Berber villages and palm groves. Continue through Berber villages such as Tinjdad, Melaab, and Erfoud, with time for lunch en route. Arrive at Erg-Chebbi sand dunes near Merzouga for a 1.5-hour camel trek to the desert camp. Day 3: Wake early for sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by quad biking back to Merzouga.
