3-Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes
Experience Morocco’s most spectacular landscapes on this unforgettable 3-day journey from Marrakech to Fes. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains, discover ancient kasbahs, explore dramatic canyons, and enjoy a magical camel trek into the Sahara, where a night under the desert stars awaits. Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades/Tinghir
Your adventure begins with pickup in Marrakech, followed by a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, admire traditional Berber villages and panoramic mountain views.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village and filming location for many movies and series. Continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses, passing palm groves and kasbahs before reaching Dades or Tinghir. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel or riad.
Day 2: Dades/Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, head to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls create one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landscapes. Continue toward Merzouga through desert towns and oasis scenery.
In the afternoon, switch to camels and ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching the sun set over the Sahara. Arrive at your desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a peaceful night in a private tent beneath a sky filled with stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fes
Wake early for a breathtaking Sahara sunrise before breakfast. Depart Merzouga and travel through Erfoud and the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm groves.
Continue across the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in cedar forests where Barbary macaque monkeys often appear. Enjoy changing landscapes as you descend toward Fes, arriving in the evening with drop-off at your accommodation.

Important Information
- The tour starts at 7:00 AM on Day 1 and ends around 8:00 PM on Day 3.
You’ll receive your pickup details (time & location) the day before by 5:00 PM via WhatsApp and email.
Please note: 5:00 PM is when you receive your pickup info, not when the tour starts.
Last-minute bookings (after 5:00 PM) will be handled quickly — keep your phone and WhatsApp reachable.
Pickup is from your hotel/riad if accessible by car, or a nearby meeting point within 5 minutes’ walk.
Drop-off is also included, with the same rules as pickup.
Accommodation is in private tents (standard with shared bathrooms, luxury with private bathrooms).
Camel rides, sandboarding, and meals are included.
