Description
Step into the history of Marrakech on a guided walking experience combining palace architecture, local heritage, and the vibrant atmosphere of the old Medina.
Your experience begins in the heart of Marrakech, where you’ll meet your guide in front of Café Argana on Djemaa El Fna Square. After a brief introduction to the city and the route, set off through the atmospheric streets of the Medina toward Bahia Palace.
Discover the history of Bahia Palace and the people who commissioned and decorated it in the 19th century. Depending on your selected option, you can visit the palace with your entrance ticket included or choose the option without an entry ticket.
Inside, admire elegant courtyards, colorful zellige mosaics, carved stucco, painted cedarwood ceilings, decorated rooms, and traditional Moroccan architectural details. Your guide will explain the meaning behind the decoration and share stories about the palace and its former residents.
After the palace visit, continue toward the Mellah, Marrakech’s historic Jewish quarter. Stop at Tinsmiths Square for an external visit while learning about the neighborhood and the Jewish community's role in Marrakech's history.
Continue through the narrow lanes of the Medina, passing traditional shops, artisan workshops, markets, and historic streets before returning to Djemaa El Fna Square.
