Description

Begin with hotel or riad pickup in Marrakech aboard an air-conditioned minivan with an English- and French-speaking driver-guide. Your first stop is the Ourika Valley, known for its greenery and waterfalls. Join a licensed local guide for a 1-hour hike to the waterfalls, or relax by the river while others hike.

Next, visit a Berber women’s cooperative to learn traditional argan oil production (optional). Continue to the Oukaimeden Valley, ascending mountain roads to 1,800 meters elevation, arriving at Sidi Fares Valley. Here, pass through authentic Berber villages and experience local culture.

Lunch is served in a traditional Berber family home, featuring salad or soup, tagine or couscous, dessert, and drinks. After lunch, travel to Asni Valley, famous for fruit trees and views of Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak. The tour concludes with panoramic views of Tahnaout Valley before returning to Marrakech at approximately 5:30 PM.

Cooking Class Option

Guests choosing the cooking class option follow a reversed itinerary. After departing Marrakech, drive through Tahnaout Valley and arrive at a Berber home by 10:00 AM. Begin with welcome tea, then participate in a hands-on cooking class preparing tagine and Moroccan bread. After a 45-minute village walk, return for lunch before continuing the route through Oukaimeden and Ourika Valleys back to Marrakech.
