Description

Day 1: Depart Marrakech early to cross the High Atlas Mountains by the Tizi n'Tichka Pass with photo stops overlooking Berber villages. Explore the fortified ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, famous for its ancient architecture and film history. Continue to Ouarzazate, passing the Skoura oasis and Valley of Roses. Arrive in the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight in a hotel or kasbah surrounded by mountain scenery.

Day 2: After breakfast, travel the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Todra Gorge, known for cliffs over 300 meters high. Walk through the gorge, then continue to Erfoud with its fossil markets. In the afternoon, arrive at Merzouga and begin a sunset camel ride over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Stay overnight in a luxury desert camp with private tent, bathroom, and shower. Enjoy dinner and live Berber music by the campfire.

Day 3: Sunrise over the dunes starts the day, followed by breakfast and shower at the camp. Journey towards Fez via the Ziz Valley and Midelt, stopping for lunch. Visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see Barbary macaques. Before Fez, visit Ifrane, known for European-style architecture and alpine landscapes. Arrive in Fez in the afternoon.
