Description
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Valley of Roses - Dades Gorges
Depart in the morning from your Marrakech hotel or riad, crossing the High Atlas via Tichka Pass (2260 m). Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its ancient kasbahs. Explore the village’s maze-like streets, then continue to Ouarzazate to photograph Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios. Proceed through the fragrant Valley of Roses before arriving at the Dades Valley. Spend the night in a traditional hotel and experience Berber hospitality.
Day 2: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes
After breakfast, travel from Dades Gorges to Todra Gorges to see towering cliffs along the Todra River. Enjoy a walk by the riverbank before continuing to Erfoud, the 'Gateway to the Sahara.' Reach the golden dunes of Merzouga, then embark on a camel trek into the desert to watch the sunset over Erg Chebbi. Overnight is at a traditional desert camp with a Moroccan dinner under the stars.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi - Alnif - Draa Valley - Marrakech
Rise early to observe sunrise over the Sahara, followed by breakfast at camp. Depart Merzouga and journey through Anif, Tazarine, Nkob, and Agdez, traversing mountains, valleys, and oases. Visit Berber villages and enjoy panoramic views en route to Marrakech, where the tour concludes in the evening.
