Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Your trip starts early with pickup from your accommodation or the nearest accessible point. Travel through Berber villages and cross the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, observing changing landscapes. Visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for films like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator, and explore it with a local guide (2.5€ per person). After lunch at a local café, continue through Ouarzazate and Klaa Mgouna to the Dades Valley. Overnight stay at Kasbah Safari Rose or a similar guesthouse.

Day 2: Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trek
After breakfast, drive to the Sahara desert via Todra Gorge, stopping at palm oases and Berber villages. Visit the Cooperative Nomades in Tinghir to learn about Berber culture before lunch in Tinjdad. Arrive in Merzouga and prepare a small overnight bag for a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Reach a traditional Berber camp to watch the sunset and spend the night in nomadic tents under the stars. Luxury tents are available for an additional 40€ per person.

Day 3: Quad Biking – Merzouga – Tinghir – Dades Valley
Start early with a sunrise over the desert before a one-hour quad biking adventure in the Erg Chebbi dunes (one quad shared by two people). Travel back towards the Dades Valley to explore the rock formations known as Monkey Fingers, with options to walk 1-2 hours with a local guide (3€ per person). Overnight stay again at Kasbah Safari Rose or similar.

Day 4: Dades – Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Depart around 08:30 for the return journey through the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters elevation). Stop frequently for photos and to enjoy the landscapes and Berber villages. Return to Marrakech in the early evening, around 7 to 8 PM.
