Description
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Marrakech through beautiful landscapes and traditional Berber towns such as Tahnaout and Asni. Experience your first glimpse of Morocco’s rural mountain life and Atlas foothills.
Arrive in the famous mountain village of Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas. Meet your local guide, rent hiking equipment if needed, and begin your personalized trekking experience.
Hike through scenic trails and traditional Amazigh villages such as Fimlil and Mazik. Discover authentic Berber culture, mountain farming life, and breathtaking natural landscapes throughout the trek.
After approximately 2 hours of hiking, reach the spectacular Tizi Mazik mountain pass, connecting the Imlil Valley and Azzaden Valley (Red Valley). Enjoy panoramic views of the High Atlas peaks, dramatic mountain scenery, and a rest stop for photos and relaxation.
The last 40-minute climb leads you to the summit of Tasghimout (2,650m). At the top, experience unforgettable 360° mountain views, direct views of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), and a peaceful, uncrowded summit atmosphere.
At the summit, enjoy a well-deserved traditional Moroccan picnic lunch, a fresh mint tea preparation experience, and relaxation with panoramic Atlas Mountain views. After descending back to Imlil, your driver will take you back to Marrakech, ending your unforgettable Atlas Mountains hiking adventure.
