Our first stop is the Museum of Marrakech, housed within the magnificent Dar Mnebhi Palace, one of the city's finest architectural landmarks. As you explore its elegant courtyards and beautifully restored galleries, discover an impressive collection of historic Moroccan artifacts, including ceramics, jewelry, textiles, manuscripts, and traditional decorative arts, alongside carefully curated exhibitions of contemporary Moroccan art. We then continue to the Maison de la Photographie, home to one of Morocco's most remarkable collections of historic photography. Through rare photographs dating from the beginnings of photography in Morocco between 1860 and 1960, discover how photographers documented the country's landscapes, cities, people, traditions, and daily life during a period of profound social and cultural change. Leaving the museums behind, we venture into Marrakech's bustling medina and vibrant souks. Wander through a maze of lively streets lined with colourful displays of spices, leather goods, textiles, ceramics, and handcrafted treasures. Along the way, observe skilled artisans practising traditional crafts passed down through generations, from woodworking and metalwork to pottery and leather craftsmanship.
As we explore the medina's quieter corners and hidden passageways, your experience leader will share fascinating insights into Marrakech's architecture, daily life, customs, and enduring traditions.
