Itinerary:
Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
Depart from Casablanca and drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit highlights such as the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Continue north through the Rif Mountains, enjoying scenic views along the way, before arriving in Chefchaouen. Check in to your accommodation and spend the evening discovering the blue-painted streets, local cafés, and relaxed atmosphere of the Blue City.
Day 2: Chefchaouen - Fes Guided Tour
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel toward Fes through the beautiful Rif and Middle Atlas landscapes. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of Fes, exploring the ancient medina, Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, tanneries, and traditional souks. Discover the city’s rich history, architecture, and vibrant local life before settling in for the night.
Day 3: Fes - Ifrane - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
Leave Fes and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” then continue through cedar forests and scenic landscapes. Pass through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic views. Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara Desert, where you can enjoy desert scenery and prepare for an unforgettable desert experience.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges
Start the day in Erg Chebbi and depart the desert after breakfast. Travel through Erfoud, known for its fossils and date markets, then continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges with time to walk between its towering canyon walls. Journey onward through scenic landscapes and Berber villages before arriving at the Dades Gorges, famous for its winding roads and rock formations, where you will spend the night.
Day 5: Dades Gorges - Valley Roses - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Depart the Dades Gorges and drive through the stunning Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant flowers and scenic landscapes. Continue to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and historic ksar. Explore its ancient streets and kasbahs before heading over the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, completing your unforgettable 5-day journey across Morocco’s diverse landscapes and culture.
