Description
Escape the city heat and journey into the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. Your day begins with a scenic drive through the foothills, stopping at a local women’s cooperative. Here, you will enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast and learn about the ancient heritage of Argan oil production in a cultural education session.
Continue through the lush Asni Valley, pausing to take in breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped Toubkal peaks. Upon arriving in the peaceful trekking hub of Imlil, meet your certified local guide for a safety briefing before setting off on a 1.5-hour trek. Walk through ancient walnut groves and terraced landscapes to reach the refreshing mountain waterfalls.
Along the way, wander through hidden Berber villages and learn about the unique customs and mountain lifestyle of the local people. After your hike, you are invited into a traditional Berber home for a freshly prepared 3-course lunch. Relax on a terrace overlooking the valley as you savor authentic tagine, salads, and Moroccan mint tea.
