Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Tinghir As you leave Marrakech, you’ll drive through the scenic High Atlas Mountains, witnessing breathtaking views of rugged peaks, lush valleys, and traditional Berber villages. You’ll pass by: • Tizi n’Tichka Pass: This winding road offers panoramic vistas, perfect for photography and appreciating the beauty of the mountains. • Ait Benhaddou: A UNESCO World Heritage site, this ancient fortified village features stunning earthen clay architecture and kasbahs. Explore its narrow alleyways and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape. • Ouarzazate: Known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” this town boasts film studios and historic kasbahs. • Skoura Oasis: Lush palm groves and traditional kasbahs dot the landscape, providing a stark contrast to the arid surroundings. Day 2: Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Driving from Tinghir, you’ll see: • Todra Gorges: Towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically, creating a stunning natural landscape. As you walk through the gorge, the views are breathtaking, with opportunities for photography and short hikes. • Berber Villages: Along the way, you’ll pass through small, vibrant villages, where you can observe traditional Berber life and architecture. As you approach Merzouga, the landscape transforms into rolling dunes: • Erg Chebbi Dunes: These vast golden sand dunes are among the highest in Morocco, creating a mesmerizing desert landscape. Day 3: Exploring the Merzouga Desert Enjoy a day in the heart of the desert, where you can choose to relax at the camp or take part in optional activities. Ride ATVs across the dunes, visit a nomadic family in a 4x4, or enjoy a picnic in the stunning desert landscape. In the evening, return to the camp and spend another magical night under the stars. Day 4: Return to Marrakech Wake up early to enjoy another beautiful sunrise over the dunes before having breakfast at the camp. Afterward, you will begin your journey back to Marrakech, taking in the changing landscapes along the way.
