Description

After meeting at our meeting point, we'll make a short visit to a local market near our house to buy vegetables and all the other ingredients we'll need for cooking. Then we return home and the first thing we do is teach you the traditional way of preparing Moroccan mint tea. And of course, we drink tea and get to know each other. Travelers then learn new techniques for peeling, chopping and seasoning tagines with the right spices, just as our grandmothers and mothers do at home. We usually prepare 3 or 4 different dishes, so you can learn more in one class. As we cook, we'll talk in depth about Moroccan cultures, traditions and history. Travelers will work in teams to prepare different dishes, allowing them to learn more than just one specific dish using different spices. The cooking class lasts 4 hours, from the moment we meet to the moment you eat, and of course, as you're on vacation, we're not stressed by time; you feel right at home. At the end of the course, it's time to taste and eat what you've cooked, and usually, in the evening, we share a link to our website where you can find recipes for the dishes we prepare and many other dishes. At the end of the experience, two local boys will show you the hidden corners of the palm grove where the contrast is stark.
