Wonderful restaurant in the heart of the medina. Don’t be put off by the outside and its location… like most things in Marrakesh beauty hides behind high walls. Had dinner here twice during our stay and the food, service and ambiance was just perfect. They also serve alcohol which some restaurants don’t. We tried the pastilla, kebabs and some delicious starters. Gorgeous authentic Moroccan menu. The rooftop terrace was lovely and very romantic as the sun came down. A special mention to Yousef, a lovely young man who served us both evenings and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
We love the foundouk, everytime we visit Marakesh a visit to Foundouk is a must. The food is amazing, the service is incredible and the setting is outstanding. You go from a dusty narrow road into an absolute beautiful restaurant which takes your breathe away. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
I wish we could have frozen time! The views, the atmosphere and the food were amazing. We could not have picked a better spot to dine out for our last meal in Marrakech. The staff are attentive, if not a little slow but we had all the time in the world so didn’t mind in the slightest. Food was incredible, recommend the beef fillet and the royal couscous- both served to perfection. Staff couldn’t do enough and the scenery on the roof terrace was incredible. It does get a little dark when the sun goes down but the lanterns give off this gorgeous Moroccan ambience making you feel like you’re in a scene from Arabian Nights. It was a beautifully romantic restaurant and we cannot wait to revisit next time!
Excellent restaurant in the heart of the medina. The waiter consulted with the chef about gluten-free dishes and pointed them out on the menu. I ordered the chaschouka and it was delicious. I had absolutely no reaction. Highly recommended.
We came here for an evening meal. Food was ok, the deserts were very nice the food was reasonably priced. Unfortunately we weren’t made to feel very welcome throughout the evening.
