The tour departs from Agadir or Taghazout in the early morning and drives towards Ouarzazat traveling through the town of Taliouine, the African center of Saffron, the world’s most expensive spice. Pass through the town of Taznakht, well-known for its vibrant Berber carpets, before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou. A UNESCO World Heritage Listed site, Ait Ben Haddou is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat consisting of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls. Spend some free time exploring the Kasbah and haggle for a bargain at the bustling Souk, full of locals buying and trading crafts. Enjoy a traditional lunch in the village of Ait Ben Haddou then travel to the city center to visit the famous Atlas Film Studios, home to an array of decaying film sets that contrast against the harsh desert Finally, head to the Kasbah of Taourirt, a fascinating maze of history that was built in the 19th century. . Admire the Kasbah's uniquely shaped rooms, decorated with colorful mosaics and painted stucco. On the return trip to Agadir, keep an eye out for goats climbing the Argan trees that line the streets and if there’s time, stop for a close-up look.
