Description

After being collected from your Marrakech accommodation in an air-conditioned, comfortable minivan or 4-wheel-drive vehicle, you will depart to enjoy the stunning scenery on your way to the Ourika Valley. The valley is about a 1-hour drive from Marrakech, and is famous for its waterfalls. Visiting these amazing cascades, you will take a 90-minute round-trip scenic hike with a local professional mountain guide. On this hike you can admire different landscapes, and get spectacular views as far as the eye can see. You can also visit a Berber women's cooperative here, where Argan oil (the unique Moroccan oil) is extracted. Your tour will then continue to the second valley called Oukaimeden, heading to a secluded mountain road standing at (1,800 meters) above sea level. You will pass through many traditional local native areas, exploring Berber villages built from adobe and stones. You can view incredible contrasts between colors such as red, brown and yellow clays, the blue sky, green forests and white snow. You will also have the opportunity to stop anywhere you want during your smooth drive. After this, you will arrive to the third valley of Ait Fares, where you will be provided a delicious lunch consisting of a typical meal with a soup, salad, Berber tajine, couscous, dessert, mint tea and mineral water. All of this will be served in a local home, which will involve you enjoying your lunch whilst being surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Following lunch, you will reach the fourth valley Asni, which is famous for its fruit trees. Up there you can also observe the snowy summits of the High Atlas Mountains, and can take panoramic snapshots of the highest mountain in Morocco, Toubkal (4,167 meters above sea level), forests rangers lookout and Richard Branson's luxury retreat (Kasbah Tamadot). Later on, your thrilling journey concludes with a drive back down a different path to Marrakech via Tahanaout City.
