Description

Enjoy a 3-day Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech to Fes through the Atlas Mountains and Merzouga. Experience a camel trek, desert camp stay, and stunning landscapes. Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades or Tinghir Your 3-day desert tour begins early in the morning with pickup from your Marrakech hotel or the nearest meeting point. Drive east through picturesque villages to reach the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you will stop for scenic photos, stretch your legs, and enjoy a quick coffee break. After crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass, visit the Berber fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage site for about 1 hour with a local guide (guide fees not included). This historic kasbah has been featured in films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Kingdom of Heaven. Afterward, enjoy lunch before continuing to Dades or Tinghir, passing through Ouarzazate, Klaa Mgouna, and the Dades Valley. Arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon and relax. Enjoy dinner in the Rose Valley before retiring for the night. Day 2: Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Merzouga Dunes (Sahara Desert) After breakfast, depart toward the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Travel through traditional Berber villages, passing Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud, and stop to explore the impressive Todra Gorges with a walk through the canyon accompanied by a local guide. Along the way, visit a local cooperative to learn about regional crafts and products. Continue through desert landscapes toward Merzouga. Upon arrival, relax before preparing for your desert adventure. Pack a small overnight bag and begin your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at your traditional Berber desert camp in time to walk up the dunes and enjoy a breathtaking sunset. In the evening, enjoy dinner and traditional drum music around the campfire. Spend the night in comfortable Berber nomad tents under a sky full of stars in the heart of the Sahara. Day 3: Camel Ride – Merzouga – Fes Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel . After breakfast, begin the drive to Fes, crossing the scenic Ziz Valley through Errachidia and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon, and end your tour with a drop-off at your accommodation or the closest accessible location.
