Description

Embark on a 2-day desert adventure from Marrakech to Zagora, immersing yourself in Morocco's diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Zagora Begin your journey with an early morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass, reaching elevations over 2,200 meters. Your first major stop is the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village renowned for its appearance in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Enjoy a guided tour of the kasbah and have lunch at a local café. Continue through the city of Ouarzazate, often referred to as the 'Hollywood of Morocco,' before descending into the lush Draa Valley, characterized by its expansive palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Upon arrival in Zagora, meet your camel caravan and embark on a sunset trek through the desert landscape. Reach your desert camp, where you'll settle into your private tent. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, accompanied by live Berber music around the campfire. Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, ride your camel back to the main road to meet your driver. Begin the return journey to Marrakech, retracing your path through the Draa Valley and the High Atlas Mountains. Stop for lunch in Ouarzazate or along the route. Arrive back in Marrakech around 6:00 PM. Your driver will drop you at your hotel, riad, or preferred location in the city.
