Description
Explore a 5-day Marrakech to Merzouga desert adventure. Day 1 : Marrakech - Ait ben Haddou - Draa Valley - Zagora Tinfou Departure in the morning from your hotel/Riad in Marrakech towards the High Atlas and the Tichka pass (2260 m). Then, you head towards the very beautiful site of the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou by the old caravan route. this jewel classified as a world heritage site by Unesco. After exploring Ait Ben Haddou with a local guide and enjoying lunch with a view, cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Zagora. Try sandboarding on the dunes, watch a stunning desert sunset, and spend a magical night under the stars with local music by the fire. Day 2 : Zagora Tinfou - Tamgroute - Alnif - Merzouga Dunes After breakfast in Zagora we drive to Merzouga. first will stop to Explore Tamgroute's historic attractions, and departure to cross Tafilalet and the mineral immensity of the Bougafer massif in order to reach Tazarin and lunch in Alnif, pass via Rissani and you will take a sandy track to reach Merzouga. There, you are invited to take a camel ride before admiring the sunset over the dunes and tasting traditional mint tea. Dinner around a campfire, accompanied by nomad songs. Night at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Day 3 : Explore Merzouga Region wake up early in the morning is a must do, in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert, free time for breakfast, then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits, we dedicate the day to explore the region of Merzouga. We continue our journey in khamlia village, where enjoy the Gnaoua music, and dancing performances, its inhabitants are originating from sub-saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger, free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in palm trees grove, then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called flamingos lake, dinner and overnight in hotel. Day 4 : Erg chebbi - Erfoud - Todra gorges - Dades gorges After your breakfast and shower, we will go in the direction of Boumalne Dades via a stop at Erfoud (famous for its date market), then via the small oasis of Touroug and Tinejdad, then we will arrive at the famous Todra Gorges and have lunch there. After a short walk in this geological site of rocks, we will take the path again towards the splendid Dades valley and gorges. Dinner and overnight. Day 5 : Dades Gorges - Valley of the roses - Ouarzazate - Marrakech In the morning after breakfast, we head towards Marrakech (the pearl of the south) via Ouarzazate (our Hollywood) on the road of a thousand kasbahs. You will see the beautiful valley of roses in Kelaat M'Gouna (the capital of roses), the kasbah of Taourirte and stop for lunch in Ouarzazate, and continue through the high atlas mountains to Marrakech. Finish your desert tour in Marrakech around 6 PM.Includes
