Aourirt N’ouassif Summit Adventure (2,726m) Duration: 6-7 hours | Elevation Gain: 1000m Begin your adventure with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Marrakech (64km), passing through vibrant towns like Tahnaout and Asni, where you’ll get a taste of Berber culture along the way. Arrive at Imlil (1,740m), the starting point for your private, customizable hike. You’ll have the option to rent hiking shoes, jackets, and poles for added comfort. From here, trek through the Atlas Mountains, passing picturesque Berber villages like Targa Imoula and Tamatert, where you can learn about traditional life. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes, you’ll reach Tizi N’tamatert, a mountain pass that connects the Imlil and Imnane Valleys—both of which are inhabited by the Amazigh people. This pass offers stunning views of the valleys and surrounding peaks. The final section of the hike to Aourirt N’ouassif Summit (2,726m) involves some scrambling, but this can be skipped if you prefer a less technical route—your hike is fully customizable. At the summit, enjoy a picnic lunch with breathtaking views of Toubkal and the surrounding mountains, and learn how to make traditional Moroccan mint tea. Afterward, descend back to Imlil, where your transport will return you to Marrakech, concluding your unforgettable Atlas Mountains adventure.
