Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1740m) – Tizi Mzik Pass (2479m) – Red Valley – Tamsoult Refuge (2550m) After breakfast in Marrakech, you’ll be picked up and driven towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Tahanaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of traditional Berber villages scattered along the valley. Upon arrival in Imlil (65km from Marrakech), you will meet your certified mountain guide and muleteer team. Begin your trek by ascending the Tizi Mzik Pass (2479m), offering spectacular views of the Imlil Valley and Mount Toubkal. Continue through a scenic juniper forest to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100 meters high). Overnight at the Tamsoult Refuge. * Distance: 11 km * Elevation: +800m / -400m * Walking Time: 5–6 hours Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge (2550m) – Aguelzim Pass (3650m) – Toubkal Refuge (3207m) Today marks a significant altitude gain. You’ll gradually ascend to the Aguelzim Pass (3650m) with steady pacing to help your body adapt. Once at the top, admire impressive views of the Toubkal Summit. Descend carefully towards the Toubkal Refuge (3207m), your base for the summit attempt. * Distance: 10 km * Elevation: +1200m / -300m * Walking Time: 6–6.5 hours Day 3: Toubkal Refuge (3207m) – Toubkal Summit (4167m) – Imlil (1740m) – Marrakech An early start for the final climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in North Africa. Weather permitting, you will enjoy breathtaking 360° views of the High Atlas Mountains and even the Sahara Desert on the horizon. After reaching the summit, descend to the refuge for a short break, then continue the descent back to Imlil. Transfer back to Marrakech, usually arriving around 5:00 PM. * Distance: 4 km (summit loop) + 4 km descent - 14 Km descent to Imlil * Elevation: +980m (up) / -2500m (down) * Walking Time: 8–9 hours Altitude Sickness Prevention Measures: * Gradual Ascent: The itinerary is designed for slow and steady altitude gain, giving your body time to acclimatize naturally. * Hydration: Participants are strongly encouraged to drink plenty of water throughout the trek (at least 3 liters per day). * Pacing: The guide will set a moderate pace, avoiding overexertion, especially during steeper sections. * Rest Breaks: Frequent breaks are planned during the ascents to allow for rest and adjustment. * Overnights at High Altitude: Staying overnight at Tamsoult Refuge (2550m) and Toubkal Refuge (3207m) helps with acclimatization before the summit day. * Guide Monitoring: Your experienced guide is trained to recognize symptoms of altitude sickness and will assist accordingly if needed. * Emergency Response: Mules and logistical support are available for immediate evacuation to lower altitudes in case of severe symptoms.Includes
