Description
Discover Morocco on a 4-day journey from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga. Ride camels in the Sahara, explore Todra & Dades Gorges, visit Ait Ben Haddou & cross the Atlas Mountains. Camp under stars. Day 1 : Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Dunes Begin your journey from Fes, heading towards Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco' for its alpine-style architecture and lush surroundings. Continue to Azrou, where you'll explore the cedar forests and might spot Barbary macaques. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Midelt, and descend into the breathtaking Ziz Valley, renowned for its lush palm groves and dramatic gorges. Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. In the evening, embark on a camel trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, witnessing a stunning desert sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp under the starry sky. Day 2 : Merzouga Exploring wake up early in the morning is a must do, in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert, free time for breakfast, then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits, we dedicate the day to explore the region of Merzouga. We continue our journey in khamlia village, where enjoy the Gnaoua music, and dancing performances, its inhabitants are originating from sub-saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger, free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in palm trees grove, then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called flamingos lake, dinner and overnight in hotel. Day 3 : Erg Chebbi - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges After your breakfast and shower, we will go in the direction of Boumalne Dadès via a stop at Erfoud (famous for its date market), then via the small oasis of Touroug and Tinejdad, then we will arrive at the famous Todra gorges and have lunch there. After a short walk in this geological site of rocks, we will take the path again towards the splendid Dadès valley and gorges. Dinner and overnight. Day 4 : Dades Gorges - Valley of the Roses - Ait ben Haddou - Marrakech In the morning after breakfast, we head towards Marrakech (the pearl of the south) via Ouarzazate (our Hollywood) on the road of a thousand Kasbahs. You will see the beautiful valley of roses in Kelaat M'Gouna (the capital of roses), then to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where you will have lunch before a visit of the Kasbah, a UNESCO world heritage site, that has been used as a set for various Hollywood movies, fashion and commercial shooting. The Kasbah is well preserved and consisted of various Kasbahs packed together and appears as a single unit, after visit will continue through the high atlas mountains to Marrakech. Finish your desert tour in Marrakech around 5 PM.Includes
