Take a 3-day trip to Marrakech from Fes and immerse yourself in the desert on the way. Visit Ifrane, the Todra Gorges, the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, and much more. Stay 1 night in a camp and 1 night in a hotel, and enjoy included breakfasts, dinners, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Begin Day 1 with pickup at your hotel or the airport in Fes and travel in air-conditioned comfort to Ifrane, famed for its alpine-style houses and cool climate. Explore the cedar forest and interact with playful Barbary macaques. Continue to Midelt for lunch (at your own expense), then traverse the stunning Ziz River in the picturesque Ziz Valley. Arrive at the Merzouga Sahara Desert and embark on an enchanting camel ride to witness the sunset from atop the dunes. Spend the night at a desert camp. Choose between a standard desert camp with a private tent and shared bathroom or a luxury desert camp with a luxury private tent and private bathroom. Savor dinner, listen to Berber music, and gaze up at the stars. On Day 2, wake up early in the morning to admire the captivating sunrise in the heart of the desert. Enjoy breakfast before riding camels back to Merzouga, where your driver-guide awaits. Drive to the fossil-rich town of Erfoud Then, venture to the Todra Gorges, a majestic canyon ideal for rock climbing and appreciation of stunning landscapes, before getting free time for lunch (at your own expense) at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to the Dades Valley, pass through Boumalne Dades, and marvel at the famous 'monkey fingers' rock formation. Have dinner later and stay overnight at a standard or luxury hotel in Ouarzazate or Dades Gorge, depending on which option you select. Start Day 3 with breakfast, then explore Ouarzazate, also known as the “gate of the desert,” and visit the renowned movie studios. Venture to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village famed for film and TV appearances that’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, begin the drive toward Marrakech, passing through the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and photo opportunities at fascinating spots. Arrive in Marrakech and conclude your desert tour at your accommodation or the airport.
