Brilliant spot. A little oasis in the epicenter of the city, right next to the souk. Breezes on the roof make the setting ideal. The menu is inspired, with a blend of traditional and innovative. All wonderfully fresh. But what makes it especially brilliant spot is the service. Every single person we interacted with was engaged, informative and kind. Will definitely be coming back.
Probably the best dishes of any restaurant in Marrakech. Old school forgotten dishes. If you go, try them. If possible and if it is nice out. Ask to sit on the rooftop. Best dish: Tride 5/5 stars Comes with lentil soup which is a nice compliment to the lentils in the dish and noodles. The egg comes with raisins and onions. Very nice touch together. Meat so tender too Starter: Tihane 5/5 stars You gotta try this. Not greasy. Packs flavor and not giant. You won't feel stuffed. The a la menthe: 3/5 stars Fine. Average. Comes with sugar on the side. Only problem it is too small. Barely two small cups from one pot Side bread: 4/5 stars Bit warm and slightly toasted. Better than most places. Wish it was more toasted and crunchy. Dessert: Mahensha 3/5 Didn't stand out like the other dishes. Is fine. Was warm which was nice.
We were a party of 4 and shared 3 starters - sardines; offal and beans. All 3 were fantastic. Cocktails were wonderful and the mains were fantastic. Service was amazing, the owner even came out a couple of times to make sure all tables were cared for.
This restaurant has a beautiful and comfortable rooftop (if you are under their umbrellas). According to my husband the kefta was just ok. I really liked my falafel however you cannot tell there is mozzerella inside and we were surprised by the small portions for the price. The service was for sure lacking. We walked in and asked the gentleman downstairs for a table for two. He was in the middle of talking with what seemed to be a friend and then told us to walk to the rooftop and his colleague would help us. We go upstairs and stand around a while, while the servers stood to the side talking. Finally one says to sit wherever we want. The only options were in the harsh sun, or a table in the shade that wasn't cleared off/cleaned. We again stood around a while before someone came to clear the table. The whole time the servers rarely came to us and just stood to the side talking with each other. It did not give off a welcoming feeling but rather as if we were an annoyance. The beer is served in a can which kept blowing away in the wind. Again, seeing this, the servers didn't bother to come to collect the empty cans.
came here looking for gluten free food and indeed they were well prepared. many things on the menu were GF and the staff knew their things. Definitely an upscale place hence prices are also much higher than the average, nevertheless good food and atmosphere.
