The rooms were clean and beautiful and the food was excellent! All the staff have been extremely welcoming and kind making this the best experience possible! Mehdi was especially helpful and lovely and put on an incredible Moroccan mint tea ceremony the day we arrived which was a beautiful and educational introduction to the culture here! Ibrahim was also very helpful in recovering a lost item!!
As an experienced global backpacker born in Morocco and raised in the Netherlands, Central House used to be my absolute favorite riad/hostel in Morocco. This is my third time staying here. I always loved the beautiful accommodation, the cleanliness, the great food, the safe vibe, and the wonderful staff who even recognized me from previous trips. I always felt right at home. Unfortunately, my third visit was deeply disappointing due to an unacceptable incident at the bar. On August 8th, 2026, around 16:00, I tried to order a beer. A bartender I had never seen before here refused to serve me, stating that they do not serve alcohol to Moroccans (?!).Being singled out and denied service based on my background - while other international tourists are served without hesitation- is textbook discrimination. I have traveled all over the world and frequently grab drinks with locals in Morocco, and I have never experienced this anywhere else. While the property itself remains beautiful, this experience completely ruined the welcoming atmosphere for me. Sadly, I will not be returning. I strongly advise against this place for local Moroccans and travelers of Islamic or Arab heritage who do not want to be treated as second-class guests compared to Western tourists. Management seriously needs to address this staff behavior.
The Central House Marrakech Medina is an excellent place to stay in the heart of Marrakech. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere after exploring the city. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with local recommendations. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the Medina, traditional souks, restaurants, and major tourist attractions. The facilities were modern, the common areas were clean, and the overall service was outstanding. I highly recommend The Central House Marrakech Medina for solo travelers, couples, families, and anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Marrakech.
I’ll start with the EXCEPTIONAL staff! Everyone here was very kind and helpful. Amazing people in an amazing place. This is a seriously cool riad hostel and I will be recommending it to everyone considering a trip to Marrakech. Please note, this is not a budget hostel. There is not a personal-use kitchen for boiling hot water, fridge, food storage, etc. Maybe you’re not looking for that, in that case, the food, bar, and breakfast is GREAT! But nothing is “included” here like you would get in some other hostels. But what you get is worth the money. Very unique stay, rooms are clean and well-kept, and the common spaces are awesome! Conveniently located near the shops, major sites, and very close to a stand outside selling Moroccan small-bites if you’re looking for a snack in a pinch!
What a find! Wandering the Madina late afternoon we found the ultimate rooftop bar! Laid back friendly service and beer etc available. Sadly we were not staying here.. it looks really well maintained and is inside the Madina but only 7 min walk from the edge.. if you not staying here just ask the reception for a free armband which allows access to the rooftop area. Overall impression is a young and vibes place. Rooms seem very well priced.
