The staff were super friendly, extremely helpful providing a map of the city, spending the time to explain the dos and don’ts and a very warm welcome! We were treated as if we were at a 5 star hotel. The roof terrace for breakfast is amazing but you should also have dinner one night. Not only the food is surprisingly good, the atmosphere there is one of the best you get in Marrakech. Lastly, it was my wife’s birthday and the whole staff sang happy birthday to her in the morning, brought here cake and there was a nice gift waiting for her when we came back to the riad in the afternoon. Can’t recommend this place enough. Special thanks to Zakaria who made sure we were always taken care of and Sadiq who was always helping us.
We had a wonderful stay at Riad Dar Des Arts. From the very beginning of our stay to the very end, we were taken excellent care of, and the staff could not do enough for us. The location is fantastic and central, walking distance from the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa), but also a lovely, peaceful haven away from the hubbub. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, and you are left with traditional Moroccan biscuits to enjoy. We were met at a nearby car park (as cars cannot get through the narrow streets) by Zakaria and another member of staff. While our bags were taken to the room, Zakaria offered us tea as he checked us in, talked us through his recommendations and walked us through a much-needed map to help navigate the maze that is the souks and medina. Every member of staff we met greeted us with kindness, and the service was seamless. What made this stay stand out was the attention to detail and second-to-none hospitality. Each night, we were greeted by a member of staff who took time to talk as well as offer tea or refreshments. The breakfast service was professional and smooth, and the staff (especially Soufiane and Mohammed) spoke to each guest and enquired about the day's plans (adding a really personal touch to the stay). We had booked the Hammam and Massage service with the Riad and also the hot air balloon excursion. For the excursion, we were to meet a driver very early in the morning; as such, the Riad arranged for a member of staff (Abdel) to escort us from our room to the pick-up point, which was very much appreciated (especially as it was dark!). The hammam and massage were exceptional and highly recommended. Isaam, Yassine and Zakaria were incredibly attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After we checked out, the exceptional service continued, we were walked to the pick up point and were waved off as our airport transfer met us (they also very kindly printed off our boarding passes so we didn't have to worry at the airport). Overall, we were invited into a family. This Riad is a home away from home, and a must-visit when in Marrakesh.
Riad Dar Des Arts is a safe haven amongst the chaos of Marrakesh. A very beautiful and tastefully decorated Riad with attractive works of art and delightful attention to details Your stay starts the moment you leave your transport with one of the team guiding you by foot to the Riad. Helpful details of the route to the Riad with memorable points for your reference. Once inside the gorgeous Riad the team talk you through how to get the best from your stay. Detailed maps guiding you through the best areas and highlights to visit plus guidance on areas that are not so safe. Tea and Moroccan biscuits whilst you chat. Our room was beautiful not large but plenty big enough with a very comfy large bed. The bathroom was massive with lots of water pressure. A delightful breakfast with delicious coffee as we sat on the roof terrace enjoying the shaded sunshine. Dinner on the day of arrival is a must, delicious and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. Regular checks to see if you needed any assistance. I’d recommend booking your transport to and from the airport via the Riad as it was super smooth. We had a wonderful stay at this riad and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with recommendations, directions, or anything we needed. Their warmth really made our stay special and memorable. The location is another huge highlight. It’s perfectly situated, making it easy to explore the area while still feeling like a peaceful retreat when you come back at the end of the day. Everything we wanted to see and do was within easy reach. The riad itself is beautiful, and the rooftop is absolutely amazing. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the views, and unwind after a day out — whether in the morning or in the evening, it quickly became one of our favorite places. We stayed for three nights and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located riad with exceptional staff and a fantastic rooftop.
This riad fully lived up to — and exceeded — our expectations for our first holiday in Marrakech. It combines genuine charm, a prime Medina location, and highly professional, attentive service. Our stay here was infinitely better than our previous riad experience in Fez. From the very first communication before check-in through to daily service and check-out, everything was handled flawlessly. The riad had just reopened in December, only weeks before our stay, and it shows in the immaculate condition and attention to detail throughout. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated in a traditional style, and finished with quality materials. A real highlight was how bright and well-lit the rooms are — a refreshing change compared with many riads. Cleanliness was impeccable in both rooms and shared areas. Breakfast was outstanding, and the availability of excellent barista-quality coffee and mint tea at any time of day, at no extra charge, was a very welcome touch. The rooftop terrace is a lovely space, perfect for breakfast or for relaxing during the day with tea and local pastries. Day-to-day operations are clearly well managed and constantly supervised by the young management team, notably Zak and Imam, who ensure everything runs smoothly and guests’ needs are met immediately. We could not have been more pleased with our stay and would highly recommend this riad without hesitation.
