We were recently fortunate to stay at Le Farnatchi, the love child of founder James, over a long weekend in Marrakech. This beautifully repurposed riad, located in the heart of the old city, is an oasis of calm and regeneration in the middle of the bustling Medina. It is just a short walk from wonderful rooftop restaurants, cultural landmarks, and the shopping opportunities of the souks. Beyond immersing ourselves in the local style through the rooms and the food and beverage experience, it is the hospitality offered by the team that will remain our most vivid memory. Saïda at Reception, Walid at Concierge, Fatiha at the Spa, Mahfoud at the Restaurant, together with Director Morad made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Meeting these kind people, so true to Morocco's reputation for genuine hospitality, will remain our fondest memory of this wonderful weekend in the Medina. We hope to return again soon!
Absolutely delightful hotel with 10 completely different boutique rooms, two beautiful courtyards, communal relaxation areas, and a rooftop terrace too. We were given a very warm, friendly welcome, and shown around the hotel, then given a Moroccan tea welcome drink and amazing sesame biscuits before being shown to our room. We enjoyed an invigorating hammam and relaxing massage at the lovely hotel spa, and two meals at their very well-presented restaurant. The restaurant menu was varied, very reasonably priced, and the food was all very fresh and really delicious. All of the staff could not do enough to help us. They were very warm and friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, smooth and easy. It was our last day on holiday before heading back to the airport and the extra help we received from them made all the difference and took the stress out of everything. If we were to visit Marrakesh again, we would definitely rebook, and cannot recommend highly enough. A beautiful stay in every way, thank you Le Farnatchi, you are a gem in Marrakesh!
Great location in the Medina. Rooms and facilities definitely not 5 stars. Stayed at the Riad Fes in Fes and Eden in Dades Valley which were dramatically better. Front desk staff were also rather cold. Probably would stay elsewhere in future, especially for the price we paid.

The suites are elegant and serene, the food is exceptional, and the attention to detail is faultless. A truly special place that balances authenticity with quiet, world-class luxury — easily one of the most memorable stays in Marrakech.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Farnatchi. From the moment we arrived, Walid greeted us with genuine warmth and hospitality and gave us a tour of the stunning riad. Our room was beautifully designed, with high ceilings, a luxurious bathroom, and even a private courtyard. The food was exceptional, and every recommendation we were given was just as impressive. The communal spaces are equally gorgeous, truly picture perfect from every angle. The service was some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast can be served wherever and whenever you choose, we enjoyed ours on the rooftop, which felt incredibly special. The heated rooms were a huge plus during the cooler December nights, and I loved the large, fluffy towels. Although we didn’t use the spa this time, we had a peek inside and it looked wonderfully luxurious, definitely on the list for our next visit. We can’t wait to return!
