We had a very pleasant stay overall at this riad. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, which made a big difference. Special mention to Ibtissem who took the time upon our arrival to give us a small introduction to Marrakech and share useful tips about the city. The location is excellent, right next to Jemaa el Fna and the souks, which made it very easy to explore the city on foot. The breakfast was also very good every morning on the rooftop. It would have been even nicer if the orange juice or eggs were offered proactively instead of us having to ask most days, but overall we enjoyed it. The only downside for us was the noise level in Room 1, which gives directly on the street. Since we are light sleepers, we could hear a lot of street noise at night, including motorbikes, conversations, and sometimes people banging on the entrance door late at night. When I made the booking, I had mentioned that we preferred a quieter room and was told this would be taken into consideration, so it was a bit disappointing on that point. That being said, the hospitality and the location really made the stay enjoyable overall.
Had a wonderful hamam and massage experience — Karima and Hajar were absolutely fantastic. So warm, welcoming, and skilled at what they do. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
Very warm welcome from Eyub, location is very close to all attractions. Rooms are very clean and nice, breakfast was delicious too. Big thanks to Eyub for being very helpful with our trip. :)
Our experience at Bo Riad was quite disappointing. The room wasn’t very clean and the location, although central in the old Medina, didn’t feel very nice or safe at night. Our door had a gap at the top — it looked crooked and as if a piece was missing — so air (and possibly small animals) could get in. In the morning, too much light entered the room, making it hard to sleep. We also tried the spa treatments: the hammam was fine, but the massages were really disappointing. Mine was painful and not relaxing at all, and my boyfriend had booked a 30-minute massage but it lasted only about 15 minutes. Overall, not a comfortable or relaxing stay.
