What a place! This riad is a hidden gem. The venue is beautiful and curated with impeccable taste in every details. Anne and Laurent are fantastic hosts, who make you feel at home from the first minute and take amazing care of all guests. The Riad is impeccably clean thanks to all the amazing staff. Special mention to Abdul looking after all your requests, and Muna, the fantastic chef who prepares delicious homemade breakfasts. Thanks for making our girlfriends’ reunion in Marrakech so special!
With nearly 2,000 riads in Marrakech, very few truly deliver the authentic experience of staying in one — this is one of them. Thoughtfully run by a French couple, every detail feels intentional, from the art and décor to the food and service. The result is an atmosphere that is both elegant and deeply personal. A genuinely special place, made even better by warm, attentive hosts.
Our stay at Riad Antara was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. Ann put incredible thought and care into creating a personalized itinerary for us. Every recommendation reflected our interests perfectly and helped us experience Marrakech in a very special way. Laurent’s local suggestions were absolute hidden gems — the kind of places you simply won’t find on typical travel sites or blogs. His recommendations clearly come from deep personal experience, and we highly recommend speaking with him about what interests you during your trip. The guides they arranged for us were equally exceptional. They reflected the same level of quality and care that Ann and Laurent bring to the riad. The tours felt very personalized, and the guides went out of their way to tailor the experience to our interests. They are true treasure troves of knowledge and shared insights about Marrakech that most tourists would never discover on their own. Definitely lean on the riad for their recommendations — they know the right people. The restaurants they suggest are carefully curated. They regularly visit and gather feedback from these places and even know some of the owners personally. Reservations made through the riad often mean you are treated especially well — a noticeably nicer experience than simply walking in. We also have gluten and dairy allergies, and Ann and Laurent were incredibly thoughtful about this. The restaurants they recommended accommodated our dietary needs beautifully. In general, we found the food in Marrakech to be surprisingly gut-friendly, though of course travelers should still do their own due diligence. Breakfast at the riad was wonderful every morning. Mona and the team prepared beautiful breakfasts tailored to our allergies. The gluten-free bread they served was outstanding — honestly so good that we were wondering why we can’t find gluten-free bread like that back in the U.S.! Abdul’s mint tea deserves special mention — truly world-class. We tried tea throughout Marrakech and never found anything quite as good. The hospitality here sets a new standard. It is genuine, heartfelt, and filled with care. The entire team makes you feel welcomed and looked after in a way that makes your stay truly memorable. We had a wonderful holiday and will always look back on our time here with great fondness. If you are considering staying here, you will not go wrong.
Riad Antara was the highlight of our entire trip to Marrakech. We stayed for three nights and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. What truly makes this riad exceptional is the people. The owners and the entire staff team deliver some of the most genuine hospitality we have ever experienced. Everyone was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Love the mint tea that Abdul made us every time we come back and the breakfast by Muna in the morning! They made us feel welcomed the moment we arrived and consistently went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. I have been fortunate to stay at many of the best hotels around the world, but the level of care and personal attention here stands out even among luxury hotels. It is rare to feel this level of sincere hospitality. The riad itself is also stunning. The design is beautiful, elegant, and incredibly thoughtful. Every corner feels curated and peaceful, creating a calm oasis right in the heart of the Medina. Huge thank you again to Laurent and Anne for the most amazing experience! An exceptional riad – a true gem in the heart of the medina Riad Antara exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Anne and Laurent made us feel completely at home with their warm hospitality and genuine kindness. The riad itself is absolutely stunning – the architecture and design are simply beautiful, creating a peaceful oasis that’s a stark contrast to the busy Marrakech outside. The location is excellent, right in the medina with everything within walking distance, yet the riad is so quiet and tranquil. The rooms are very comfortable and impeccably clean, and we loved the rooftop terrace – the perfect spot to unwind after exploring the medina. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and yoghurt that we looked forward to each morning. The staff were extremely helpful and professional, going out of their way to provide advice and service throughout our stay. Anne and Laurent arranged our airport transfers, which were seamless and friendly. Riad Antara genuinely feels like home. The team are an absolute delight, and we cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to everyone. Nothing could be better – it was all wonderful.
